Biography
Amberlea Bruch grew up in Woodstock, Ontario, singing and dancing along to Broadway, jazz, and pop classics in her bedroom. On her 16th birthday, she received her first guitar from her dad — a gift that sparked her passion for songwriting.
Though she studied classical guitar and piano in high school, her heart was always set on singing and creating her own music. It wasn’t until university, with a vocal coach’s encouragement and her guitar back in hand, that everything began to click.
Drawing inspiration from artists like Shania Twain, Maren Morris, Thomas Rhett, John Mayer, Billy Joel, Adele, and Phil Collins, Amberlea crafts a pop-country sound anchored in heartfelt storytelling and rich instrumentation — music you don’t just hear, but feel.
In 2020, Amberlea began building her catalog, writing and recording original music while performing full-band showcases at bars and venues across the Greater Toronto Area. That summer, she recorded her first three songs at Union Studios in Toronto. Her debut single, Something New, released in February 2021, marked her official entrance into the Canadian country scene, followed by I Won’t Fold and Usually later that year.
Momentum continued with the release of Benefits of You in spring 2022 — her most-played track on SiriusXM’s Top of The Country (Channel 171) — and the fall release of her debut EP, Find My Way.
In January 2023, she moved to Nashville, immersing herself in the city’s vibrant writing and performance community. That same year, she released two new singles, Breaking My Own Rules and She’s Got It Easy, both featured on SiriusXM’s Top of The Country (Channel 171). In June 2024, she made her CMA Fest debut with two full-band showcases at Nashville Underground and 6th & Peabody. Along the way, Amberlea has opened for notable acts including Madeline Merlo, Andrew Hyatt, and Pam Tillis.
Now based in Nashville, Amberlea continues to make waves with her 2024 singles Halfway Between and Ain’t Sleeping on Summer, and her latest release, Riches to Rags, which dropped in January 2025 and is now streaming on all platforms.
Stay tuned for her Summer 2025 release, Nothing Less, available everywhere June 6th, 2025.
