Biography

In Woodstock, Ontario, Canada, Amberlea Bruch grew up dancing and singing along in her bedroom to Broadway, jazz, and pop classics. For her 16th birthday, she received her first guitar from her Dad and began learning to play. Throughout high school, she learned classical guitar and piano, but really just wanted to sing and write her own music. It all came together when she started working with a vocal coach and picked up the guitar again in university – this time to write.

With inspirations ranging from Shania Twain to Maren Morris, Thomas Rhett, John Mayer, Billy Joel, Adele, and Phil Collins, Amberlea’s country pop sound is rooted in storytelling and instrumentation that allows the listener to feel the heartbeat in each of her songs.

In 2020 and 2021 Amberlea began building up her catalog of songs through both writing and recording. She also started performing full band showcases at bars and small venues throughout the greater Toronto area in Southwestern Ontario, Canada.

In June 2020, she recorded her first three songs at Union Studios in Toronto, Ontario. “Something New”, her debut single, premiered digitally in February of 2021 and also went to Canadian country radio. Two more 2001 singles – “I Won’t Fold” and “Usually” – followed.

Amberlea continued rising momentum with 2022’s spring single, “Benefits of You” – which has become her most-played single on SiriusXM’s Top of The Country channel 171.

July 23rd, 2022 Amberlea opened for the debut Music from the Vineyard festival in Prince Edward County which featured Madeline Merlo and Andrew Hyatt.

Amberlea released her debut EP, “Find My Way”,  in fall 2022. Then in January 2023, Amberlea moved to Nashville where she began networking into the writing and performance community.

This move has allowed Amberlea to expand her opportunities to perform in multiple writers’ rounds, cover gigs, and dive further into writing both for herself and other artists.

In 2023 Amberlea released “Breaking My Own Rules” and “She’s Got It Easy” both of which have been featured on Sirius XM’s Top of The Country Channel 171. Her next single “Halfway Between” will be released April 12th, 2024. These three tracks kick off her forthcoming sophomore EP project which is to be released in 2024 and explore the themes of dating, relationships, and mental health.
